Smriti Apparels is tucked away on the second floor of Govind Mahal Apartments. If you come to 3 Wood Street, you have to go up the stairs to Suite No. 6. It’s a bit of a climb, but the space works for what we need. It’s an apartment building, so it doesn't feel like a cold office at all. We have windows that look out onto the street, which is nice when we need a break from looking at the work on our desks. It can get a bit tight when we have a lot of stock coming in, but we manage the space okay. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and the other residents in Govind Mahal are used to us by now. Sometimes the elevator is slow, so we just use the stairs instead. We spend a lot of time on the phone or working with the different materials we have scattered around. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but there is a system to the mess. Most of us have been working together for quite a few years. We don't go in for anything flashy. It's just a regular work day with the usual problems like a printer jamming or running out of staples. People usually find us because they know the address specifically. We like it here because Wood Street is a decent area to be in.
