Sawalka

Sawalka is based out of Kolkata, specifically at 59 Debiniwas Road. We are up on the fourth floor, which gives us a bit of a view of the surrounding neighborhood, though it’s mostly just rooftops and trees. Kolkata has a certain pace to it, and we definitely feel that here. Our office isn't anything flashy; it’s just a place where we sit down and get through the day’s tasks. There is no elevator, or sometimes it's not working, so we end up taking the stairs quite a bit, which keeps us moving. The fourth-floor quiet is nice compared to the noise down on the street. We have desks piled with files and the usual office stuff. During the monsoon, you can hear the rain hitting the roof really loudly, which is just part of being in this city. We handle our business matters from this location, and it’s been our home base for a while now. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It's just a few of us making sure everything runs the way it should. We get our mail delivered downstairs and someone usually goes down to grab it. Life here is pretty straightforward. We come in, do the work that needs doing, and head home. It’s a simple setup for a business that’s been around the block a few times.
