Our office is over at 59B Chowringhee Road, inside the Congrees Bhavan building on the 5th floor. If you know that area, you know how busy it gets with all the traffic and people walking by. To get to us, you have to take the elevator, which is one of those older ones, or you can walk up if you are feeling energetic. Being on the 5th floor gives us a bit of a distance from the street noise, though you can still hear the bus horns during rush hour. The space inside is mostly open with a few partitions. We have some filing cabinets that have been here since we moved in. It is a bit of a classic office look, nothing too modern or flashy. We have a small area where we keep the kettle and some biscuits for the afternoon break. The windows are large but they could probably use a good cleaning on the outside. We handle our daily business here, mostly sitting at our desks and dealing with whatever comes across the screen or the phone. There are other offices on this floor too, so you see people from different companies in the hallway. It is a central spot to work from, even if the building is a bit aged. We like the character of the place and the fact that everything we need is within walking distance.
