We are located at 36 Maharani Debendra Road in 'B' Block. Choudhary Fashions Pvt. Ltd. is basically a place where we deal with clothes and fabric. The area is quite traditional and can get very congested with all the trade happening around us. Our office and storage space are filled with rolls of cloth and samples of different garments we are working on. You’ll usually see a few of us measuring things or checking the stitching on a new batch. It’s not a high-end boutique; it’s a manufacturing and trading hub. We have people coming in to check samples and we spend a lot of time on the phone with the tailors and the suppliers. The fans are always running to keep the air moving because the stacks of fabric can make the room feel a bit stuffy. We’ve been doing this for years, so we have a good sense of what people are looking for, but we don't make a big show of it. It’s just about getting the pieces finished and shipped out to the retailers. The floor is usually covered with bits of thread and scraps of cloth by the end of the day. We try to keep things orderly, but when a big order is due, it gets a bit chaotic. We focus on the cutting and the counting, and usually we are too tired for much else by the time the sun goes down.
