West Bengal State Handloom

This is the West Bengal State Handloom place, and we are located in Tantuja Bhawan. We are pretty easy to find because we are right near City Centre. Most people in the area just call it Tantuja Bhawan anyway. It is a big building and we have all the handloom items spread out inside. Being near City Centre means there is always a lot of foot traffic and people coming from the mall or the offices nearby. We spend our time managing the stock and making sure the fabrics are looked after. It is a government-style building, so it has that solid feel to it. It’s not a trendy boutique, just a place for real handloom work. We see all kinds of people coming through the doors, from locals to folks who are just visiting the area. The address is basically Tantuja Bhawan, and we are glad to be so close to City Centre because it makes it easier for people to drop in. It gets busy during the festival seasons, of course. We don't really do the whole marketing thing; we just stay open and let the work speak for itself. It’s a lot of space to manage, but we have a good rhythm going. If you're walking around the City Centre area, you'll see the building. It has been a part of this neighborhood for quite a long time now and we just keep it going. It’s a very straightforward place to visit.
