People usually find us at 85 Park Street because it is a busy spot. It has been a long time since we first set up here. The shop floor is often messy with boxes because things come and go so fast. My desk is right in the corner where I can see everyone walking in. Sometimes the ceiling leaks a little when it rains hard, but we just put a bucket under it and keep going. We handle a lot of different traders and regulars who have been coming to us for years. It’s not always quiet, especially with the street noise right outside the door. Some days the phone doesn’t stop ringing and other days it’s just us drinking tea and waiting for the next delivery truck. We don't have fancy furniture or anything, just the usual shelves and a couple of chairs for people to sit if they’re waiting on an order. It’s a lot of manual work, checking lists and making sure the numbers match up at the end of the day. Sometimes we stay late when a shipment is delayed. It is just the way it goes when you’re running a place like this in such a crowded part of town. We know most of the people nearby, and they know us by name. It feels like a neighborhood thing more than anything else.
