Our little office is tucked away in Ajanta Apartments on Gurusaday Road. We are in unit 4B, which is a fairly quiet spot considering how busy Kolkata can get during the day. It’s one of those older, solid buildings that’s seen a lot over the years. We aren't a massive company with hundreds of employees; it’s just a few of us here handling the daily operations for Sil. We spend most of our time at our desks, dealing with the usual mix of emails, phone calls, and the occasional visitor who manages to find the right floor. The 700019 area is a good place to be, and Gurusaday Road has a lot of history. Our office doesn't have any of that modern minimalist furniture. It’s mostly just functional desks and old cabinets full of records. We try to keep things organized, though some days the piles of paper get a bit high. It’s a real working environment, not a showroom. We get our lunch from the local spots nearby, and sometimes we sit and talk about how much the city has changed since we started. We don't do anything flashy or complicated. We just show up, do the work that needs doing, and head home to our families. It’s a steady routine that we've gotten used to. If you come by, you’ll probably find us mid-task, maybe complaining about the humidity or the traffic, but we’re always here getting through the day’s list.
