Ambika Creation

We work out of 15B, Ekdalia Place in Ballygunge. It is a nice part of the city where the streets have a lot of old character. Our workspace is usually filled up with different samples and piles of fabric. It gets a bit cluttered because we are always in the middle of making something new. We do not have a big showroom with bright lights and mirrors. It is more of a workshop feel here. People walk in and see us right at the machines. The sound of sewing is a constant thing in the background while we work. We have been at this address for many years and the neighbors are all very familiar to us. Sometimes we have a quick tea on the steps when the weather is not too humid. Ballygunge is a very busy neighborhood, but our little corner at Ekdalia Place feels a bit tucked away from the main rush. We focus on the creations we make. It involves a lot of manual work and we have to pay attention to the small details. We do not use any fancy management talk or business jargon. We just sit down and discuss what needs to be finished by the end of the day. There is always a pile of cloth somewhere that needs to be sorted through. It is a bit messy, but that is just how we like to work.
