India Lord

India Lord is over on Motijheel Avenue in Kolkata. We are pretty close to the Vodafone Store in Motijhil, so that’s usually how people find us if they get lost. It’s a 7 A address. It’s a bit of a crowded area, but that’s just how Kolkata is, right? We’ve been here serving the neighborhood for a while. It’s not a huge place, but we make it work with what we have. Most of the people who come in live nearby or work at the shops on the avenue. We do a lot of traditional dishes that people grew up eating. Nothing too experimental or weird, just the stuff that tastes good and fills you up. The street outside can be really noisy with the traffic and people shouting, but once you step inside, it’s a bit quieter. We handle everything ourselves, from cleaning the floors to buying the vegetables every morning. It’s hard work, but we like being part of the community here. Sometimes the fans are a bit loud and the paint might be peeling a little in the corner, but the kitchen is clean and that’s what matters most to us. We don’t spend money on fancy ads or anything. We just wait for people to walk by and decide they’re hungry. If you’re around Motijhil, stop in and say hello. We are usually around until the late evening when the street finally starts to calm down a bit.
