If you ever find yourself in Barabazar, you’ll know how crowded Cotton Street can be. Our place is at number 77. It’s a busy spot, and there’s always something happening right outside the door. This business has been around for a long time, passed down through the family. Ramchander and Rajender Prasad started things, and we just keep it going. The shop isn't anything special to look at. We have shelves full of stock and a few desks that have seen better days. The light isn't great inside, but we know where everything is kept. Dealing with the traffic in Barabazar is the hardest part of the day, honestly. Trucks trying to unload and people pushing carts everywhere make it a bit of a maze. We open up early in the morning and stay until the shutters go down late. It gets dusty and loud, but that’s just how it is here. We don’t have a website or fancy brochures. If people need us, they usually just walk in or give us a call on the old landline. We drink a lot of chai to keep us going through the afternoon slump. Sometimes we sit on the wooden stools out front when it’s not too hot. It's a simple way of working. No one wears a suit here. We just wear what's comfortable and try to keep the customers happy without making a big fuss about it. We just stay busy.
