Jimmy Tailors

You can find our shop at No. 133, which is right near the Sheetla Mata Mandir. It’s a small place but we keep busy with the sewing machines going most of the day. Jimmy Tailors has been here for a while now. Most people know us because they pass by the mandir every day. We do all sorts of stitching, from simple repairs to making full suits for weddings. The shop is usually full of fabric scraps and measuring tapes. It’s not the neatest place but we know where everything is. People bring in their own cloth or ask us what would look good for a certain occasion. We don't use any fancy machines, just the old reliable ones that get the job done right. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when a few customers come in at once. We just tell them to have a seat on the bench and wait a bit. It is a local shop through and through. We know most of the people who walk in by their first names. Being near the temple means there is always someone passing by or stopping in for a quick chat while we work. We just keep our heads down and focus on the needles and thread. It's what we do and we have been doing it for years. The light in the shop isn't great but our eyes are used to it.
