Instead, we have a workspace where we focus on our fashion items. It’s a very grounded way of doing business. We see the crowds outside every day and it reminds us why we are here. The space inside is quite basic. We have shelves for the clothes and a few desks for the paperwork. Rash Behari Avenue has its own charm, even if it’s a bit chaotic. We’ve been here long enough to know the regular tea sellers and the other shopkeepers nearby. We don't use any fancy words to describe what we do. We just make clothes and try to stay organized. It’s a human-scale operation. Most of our time is spent talking to suppliers or checking the items from the latest batch. It is a simple life in a very busy part of town, and we wouldn't have it any other way right now. The heat can be tough in the summer but the ceiling fans keep the air moving while we work on the daily orders.
