We are up on the 4th floor of the Paridhan Garment Park at A501-a502. If you know 19 Canal South Road in Kolkata, you know it's a busy area with a lot of trucks and people moving things around. Being in Sdf-1 means we are surrounded by other people doing similar work, which keeps us on our toes. The building is a bit big and can be confusing if you haven't been here before. We spend most of our time dealing with different garments. It’s a lot of boxes and looking at fabric samples all day. Sometimes the elevators take a while to come, so we end up waiting around talking to neighbors from other floors. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. We have desks, some chairs that have seen better days, and a lot of work to get through. Most days involve a lot of phone calls and checking on orders. We’ve been in this spot for a while now. The view from the window isn't much, just more of the park and the road, but we stay busy enough that we don't look out much anyway. It’s just us here, working through the piles of stuff that need to get done. We don't really do much advertising. People usually find us because they need what we have or they're already in the building for something else. It's a practical place for a practical job. Sometimes the desk by the door gets covered in old receipts and papers we haven't filed yet.
