Our office is tucked away in the Anandam Housing Complex. It’s Scheme-Ii, specifically Flat No. 517. The address is 7 K.B.Sarani, though most people just call it Mall Road. We are in Kolkata 700080. It’s a residential area, so it’s usually pretty quiet until the morning rush starts. V-Melo Apparels Pvt.Ltd isn’t a massive factory. It’s more of a place where we handle the business side of things. We have a lot of samples lying around and boxes stacked up in the corners. The space isn’t huge, but it works for us. We’ve got a few desks and a phone that rings more than we’d like. Working out of a flat means we see our neighbors every day when we come in. It’s a bit different than a big industrial park. Sometimes the elevator in the complex acts up, so we end up taking the stairs. We spend a lot of time looking at fabrics and talking to suppliers on the phone. It’s mostly just hard work and trying to stay on top of orders. We don’t have fancy signs or a big showroom here. Just a door with our name on it. If you’re looking for us, look for the housing complex gate. It’s right there on Mall Road. We like being in this part of the city. There is a nice park nearby where we sometimes go for a quick walk when things get too stressful inside the flat.
