Taroms Fashion Private Limited is based at 91 Ripon Street, which is also known as Muzaffar Ahmed Street. We are on the first floor in Block A. Ripon Street is one of those iconic Kolkata locations that is always crowded and full of history. Working here is interesting because there is always something happening right outside our window. Our office and workshop are where we do all our fashion-related work. It’s a bit cramped because we have a lot of fabric rolls and finished goods packed into the space, but we make it work. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a team of experts telling us what to do. It’s just us, using our experience to create clothes that we think look good. We’ve had some long nights here, especially during the festive seasons when everyone wants their orders at the same time. The first floor can get a bit hot in the summer, but we have our fans going and we just keep at it. We’ve been here long enough that the local shopkeepers know us by name. It’s that kind of place. We don’t try to be something we’re not. We’re just a small clothing company in the heart of the city, doing our best to stay busy and produce work we can be okay with.
