Sreepati Hosiery Mills Pvt. Ltd. is situated at No. 12 Grant Lane. We are quite close to the Lal Bazar Police Head Quarter, which is a landmark everyone around here knows. Grant Lane itself is a bit tucked away, but it stays busy with commercial activity. Our mill has been operating from this location for quite some time. Inside, it’s a lot of heavy machinery for hosiery production. The floors are concrete and usually covered in a bit of lint from the cotton. It’s a noisy environment when the machines are all running at once, so we have to speak up to hear each other. We have a team of workers who have been doing this for years. They know exactly how the machines sound when they’re running right. We don’t have much of a front office; it’s mostly just the production floor and a small space for the books. The building is an old-style structure with high ceilings which helps a bit with the heat. We get our raw materials delivered in big bundles and then process them into finished goods. It’s a very hands-on type of business. Sometimes the narrow lane makes it tough for big trucks to get right to the door. We just make it work. There’s no pretense here, just people doing their jobs and making sure the output is steady. We usually have a bit of a cleanup at the end of the week to keep the dust down.
