Soulink-Swati Pasari

Soulink-Swati Pasari is at 62A, Hazra Road. This part of the city is always full of life, with trams and cars passing by all the time. Our place is an old house that we’ve turned into a studio and office space. It has high ceilings and big windows that look out onto the street. It’s usually a bit of a mess because we are always in the middle of some project. There are paint jars, fabric samples, and rolls of paper everywhere. We don't try to keep it perfectly clean because that’s not how work happens here. Swati spends most of her time in the back room where the light is best. The rest of us handle the day-to-day stuff like answering emails and making sure the supplies don't run out. We don’t have a corporate vibe at all. We wear comfortable clothes and sometimes the neighbor’s cat wanders in to see what we are doing. Hazra Road is a great location even if it’s noisy. We like being in the heart of things. We don't do much in the way of promotion. Most people find us because they saw our work somewhere or someone told them about us. It’s a very personal, small-scale operation. We enjoy the process of making things and we don't worry too much about being a "big business." We just take things as they come and try to enjoy the creative atmosphere we’ve built here.
