Sitaram Saraf

Sitaram Saraf is on the 1St Floor of number 86, Raja Basant Roy Road. To get to us, you have to go through a small entrance and up a flight of stairs that could use a bit of a scrub. The office itself is quite bright because of the large windows facing the street. You can see the people going about their business and the cars parked haphazardly along the road. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and the rooms are filled with the stuff you accumulate over the years. There are stacks of paper on almost every flat surface, and the filing cabinets are stuffed full. We have a small kitchen area where we make coffee, though the stove is a bit temperamental. The vibe here is pretty relaxed; we don't have a lot of formal meetings. Most things are decided over a quick chat in the hallway. The walls are painted an off-white color that has faded over time, and there are a few marks where we moved the furniture around. We don't have any flashy technology, just the standard computers and a phone that rings more than we’d like. Raja Basant Roy Road is a nice area with plenty of trees, so it feels a bit more peaceful than the industrial parts of the city. We enjoy the neighborhood and the fact that we can walk to a few good lunch spots nearby. It’s a comfortable, unpretentious place to spend the workday and handle whatever comes our way.
