Shyamoli Shaw

My name is Shyamoli Shaw. You can find me at 340 Kalighat Road in Kolkata. I’m here with Raj Kumar Shaw. This is a very old and busy part of the city. If you’ve ever been to Kolkata-26, you know how crowded and lively Kalighat Road can get. It’s a place filled with history and a lot of daily commotion. My workspace is right in the middle of all that. I don't have a fancy corporate office with glass walls. It's a more traditional setup, the kind you see a lot of in this neighborhood. I spend most of my day dealing with whatever comes across my desk. There are always people walking by and sounds from the street, which I’ve gotten used to over the years. I handle all my own work here. There isn't a big team or any complicated hierarchy. It's just a straightforward way of doing things. I like the fact that I’m right in the heart of the city. It makes me feel connected to everything going on. Sometimes it’s a bit overwhelming with the traffic and the noise, but that’s Kalighat for you. I keep my records in order and try to stay on top of my chores. I’ve been at this address for a long time and I know the people around here. It’s a small operation, but it’s mine and I’m proud of the work I put in every single day, no matter how busy it gets.
