Mab

We are Mab, located over on Garpar Rd in Kolkata. It’s a bit of an old area, Raja Ram Mohan Roy Sarani, and we’ve been at 6/1D for quite some time now. The building has some character, like most things around here. People often ask what the name stands for, but we usually just say it’s Mab and leave it at that. We handle the daily tasks that come through the door without making a big fuss about it. It gets humid in the summers, but we keep the fans going and get through the lists. The neighborhood is lively, so there’s always something happening outside. We aren't a huge operation with hundreds of employees. It's just a few of us making sure things run okay. We spend a lot of time on the phone or writing stuff down. It's basic work, really. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized when it's busy, but we sort it out eventually. We don't do big ads or anything. People just find us or hear about us from someone else on the street. It feels right being a local spot in this part of town. We’ve seen the street change over the years, but our little office stays pretty much the same. It's a practical place to work, and we like the routine of it all.
