No. 4A Sir Hariram Goenka Street is right in the middle of a very busy part of the city. Shree Rukmani has been at this location for a good amount of time. The building is one of those old ones with high ceilings and thick walls that keep the heat out a little bit. We have a lot of heavy furniture, mostly wooden desks and some iron safes. The street outside is always packed with people and carts. You can hear the shouting of the loaders and the bells of the cycles all day long. It’s a bit chaotic, but that is just the way it is on Hariram Goenka Street. We have a small staff and we’ve all known each other for years. We don't really have a formal dress code, just whatever is comfortable for the weather. There is a lot of paperwork, stacks of ledgers, and notebooks everywhere. We use a lot of pens. Sometimes we have to move boxes around just to find a place to sit. We don't have any fancy machines, just the basics. Lunch is usually brought from home and we eat together in the back. It’s a traditional way of working, I suppose. We aren't looking to change much. We just keep doing what we do, day after day, in this busy corner of the market. It’s loud, it’s dusty, but it’s our place. It feels right to be here among the noise and the people.
