Shakti Wears

Our business, Shakti Wears, is located at 130 Ho Chi Minh Sarani, right near the Behala Chowrasta area. It is a very active part of the neighborhood. Being near the crossing means there is always noise from the buses and the local market nearby. We have our workspace set up inside where we handle all the garment work. It’s a bit of a crowded space because we have rolls of cloth and finished pieces sitting around on the tables. We aren't a big corporation with fancy offices. We just have a couple of desks and some racks for the clothes. Most of our day is spent talking to suppliers or checking the stitching on the new batches that come in. The lights are a bit dim in the back corner, but we know where everything is kept. We don't really do much advertising because word of mouth in Behala seems to work well enough for us. Sometimes we have tea delivered from the stall at the corner while we sit and go over the day’s lists. It’s a practical setup. We try to keep the floors swept, but with so much fabric moving around, it’s a constant task. We just stay busy and try to stay on top of the orders as they come through. It is a straightforward operation without any big bells or whistles, just people working hard in a small shop.
