You can find us on the ground floor of the building at 62 Shakespeare Sarani. ATC Garments Pvt. Ltd. has been in this particular spot in Kolkata for a long time. It’s a very busy city, and this street is always full of people and cars. Our workspace is usually filled up with piles of fabric and finished clothes waiting to be moved out. It isn't a polished showroom with bright lights. It’s a place where real work happens every day. We have old desks and various machines and a lot of people moving around to get things done. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with everyone talking and the equipment running, but that's just our normal atmosphere. We don't spend any money on fancy decorations or expensive furniture. We’d rather just focus on getting the garment orders right for the people who buy them. The ground floor location is very helpful for when we need to load and unload the delivery trucks. We know the other people who work in this building and it feels like a little community. We don't have a corporate handbook or any fancy rules. We just know what needs to be done when we open up the doors in the morning. The tea man comes by twice a day, and that’s when we take a breather. Otherwise, we are focused on the clothes. We are just regular people making a living here.
