Ashis Creation

Our shop is located at 20/1St Avenue South, right on the Jadavpur Link Road area. It’s a bit of a busy spot. Ashis Creation started out as just a small room with one sewing machine. Now we have more space, but it still feels crowded with all the fabric rolls and patterns lying around. We spend most of our time looking at sketches and picking out threads. The guys in the back are always busy with the needles. It’s not a quiet place at all. You can hear the hum of the machines from the street. We do a lot of work for local people who want something specific. My cousin helps with the cutting and I handle the people who walk in. Sometimes the orders get backed up during wedding season. That’s when things get really hectic here. We stay late and drink a lot of coffee to keep going. The address says Kandivali West but we have our roots firmly in the local community here near the link road. People know us by name. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything like that. Just a counter and some shelves. It is what it is. We just try to keep the quality decent and make sure the sizes are correct. It’s hard work but it’s what we know how to do. Some days are long, but we always manage to get it done.
