Sangam Saree Kendra

We are over at 42-A on Rasi Almin Kidvai Road. It’s quite easy to find if you are heading toward the Fastrack Bata Mall, as we are just a short walk from there. Sangam Saree Kendra has been in this spot for a bit, and the shop is usually packed with different styles of sarees. We have rows and rows of them tucked into wooden cubbies along the walls. The street outside is always humming with people going to the mall or the other shops nearby. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when the deliveries arrive and we have to haul big bags across the sidewalk. Inside, we have some old mats on the floor where we can spread out the longer pieces of fabric so people can see the full length. The lighting isn't perfect, but it does the job. We spend a lot of our time re-folding things because once a saree is opened, it never quite goes back the same way into the box. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us answering the phone and showing the stock to whoever walks in through the door. Usually, there is a thermos of tea behind the counter. We know the other shopkeepers on Kidvai Road pretty well by now. It’s just a regular local business where we show up, do the work, and go home to rest.
