Rubi

Our shop is simply called Rubi. We are located at 2/160, Dum Dum Road, right in the Motijhil area of Kolkata. This part of the city is always crowded with traffic and people walking to the market. We have been sitting here at this address, 700074, for quite some time. It is a small place, really. We don’t have a lot of room, but we make it work. Most of our customers are from the apartments nearby or students from the local colleges. They just want a decent haircut or some basic grooming without spending too much. We keep the shop open pretty late most nights because that is when the Motijhil area is most active. Inside, we have a few chairs and some old pictures on the walls. It feels like a home to us because we spend so much time here. The noise from Dum Dum Road never really stops, but you get used to it after a few days. We don’t use any fancy machines. We do things the old-fashioned way. It’s just a practical business. Sometimes we have a queue out the door on Sundays. We just keep working until everyone is taken care of. There isn't much more to say. We are just a part of the local street life here. We open our doors every morning and keep things moving. That's how we run our small spot on Dum Dum Road.
