Roy Apparel Pvt. Ltd. is based in Kolkata, right near Barisha Girls High School. Being so close to the school means we see a lot of activity throughout the day. You can hear the bells and the kids shouting during recess from our doorstep. We mostly work out of this location handling various apparel needs. It's a simple setup. We have desks for the paperwork and plenty of room for the stock. We aren't some massive corporation with a glass skyscraper. We are just a local company that’s been around the Barisha area for some time. The commute into this part of Kolkata can be a bit of a headache with the traffic, but we are used to it. We spend our mornings checking the quality of what comes in and making sure the orders are sorted. It’s a lot of manual work, checking labels and counting pieces. We don't use much jargon or complicated systems. We just write things down and make sure the customers get what they asked for. Sometimes we have tea together in the afternoon when things quiet down a bit. It’s a decent place to work. We know the shopkeepers nearby and the people who walk past every day. We aren't trying to change the world; we just want to run a good business near the school. It’s practical, honest work that keeps us busy from morning till evening and we like it that way.
