Ritu Creation

Ritu Creation is on the first floor of 94-B Elliot Road. We are directly opposite Galif Bar, which is a place most people in this neighborhood can point out to you. Being on the first floor means you have to head up the stairs, but it gives us a little more privacy than the shops right on the sidewalk. Our space is usually filled with bits of fabric and design sketches. It isn't always perfectly tidy, but that’s just how we work. Elliot Road is a constant stream of cars and people, so there is always something going on outside the window. We started this business quite a few years ago and have just kept at it. We spend our time cutting, stitching, and putting together different creations. We aren't looking to become a giant company. We just enjoy the process of making things by hand. If someone needs something custom, they just come up and we have a chat about it. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get the details exactly right. We don't use any complicated computer systems for our shop work. We mostly just use a notebook and a ruler. The light in the mornings is really nice for seeing the colors of the materials. We’ve been here long enough that the other shopkeepers are all friends. It is a decent, hard-working atmosphere every day. We just take one day at a time and try to keep our customers satisfied with what we produce.
