You can find Rishi Fashions at 154 Jamunalal Bajaj Street. It’s a narrow street but it’s always full of people looking for something. We’ve been tucked away here for quite a while now. Dealing with clothes and fabrics is what we know. It’s not a glamorous job like people think. There is a lot of lifting boxes and counting stock. The walls are lined with different things we’ve collected over the years. We started this because we liked the energy of Bajaj Street. There is always a truck unloading or someone shouting across the way. It makes the day go by fast. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing person. It’s just us. We answer the phone ourselves and talk to whoever walks in. Sometimes the fans don't work and it gets hot, but we just keep going. We know most of our regular customers by their first names. They come in to see what’s new or just to chat. We try to keep the prices fair because we know how it is. It’s a small operation, really. Just a few rooms filled with things we think people will like. We don’t plan on moving anywhere else. This street feels like home to us. It’s where we belong and where we do our work every single day. If the door is open, it means we are ready for the day ahead.
