Rhythm Apparels

Our business, Rhythm Apparels, is situated at No. 18/1 M D Road in the Gora Bazar area of Dam Dam Cant. This part of town has a lot of history and the buildings reflect that. Our space is basically a large room filled with shelves that go all the way up to the ceiling. We spend a good portion of our day climbing ladders to get things down for people. The air in Gora Bazar is always full of the smells from the nearby food stalls and the sound of the local crowd. We have a small wooden desk where we keep our ledgers and some old pens. The floor is made of old stone and it stays relatively cool even when the weather is boiling outside. We don't have any fancy signs or bright lights. Most of what we do is just managing the stock and making sure the orders are correct before they leave the door. Sometimes the rain leaks in a little bit near the front entrance, so we have to keep some buckets handy during the monsoon season. We know the other shopkeepers on M D Road quite well, and we often chat with them while we are waiting for the morning deliveries to arrive. It is a steady, slow-paced kind of life here in the cantonment area. We usually shut the doors by eight because the street gets quiet after that.
