Our place is tucked away at 10/1E Sree Mohan Lane. It’s right here in the 700026 part of Kolkata. Working for Raymond Apparel Ltd keeps us pretty busy most weeks of the year. The lane is quite narrow, so it can be a bit of a squeeze when the big trucks come through with deliveries. We’ve learned to deal with the tight space over time, though. It’s just a normal workplace with a lot of clothes and fabric stacked around. We don't spend much time on decorations or making things look pretty for visitors. The focus is usually on getting the orders ready on time. Sometimes the ceiling fans aren't enough when it's really hot out in the afternoon. We just take short breaks when we can. Everyone here knows their job and what they need to do. It’s a bit noisy when all the machines are running at once, but you get used to that after a few days. We've been at this Sree Mohan Lane spot for a while now. It’s a familiar routine for all of us who work here. People from the local area know we're here. We aren't trying to be anything we're not. It’s a practical setup for the kind of work we do every day. We just make sure the gates are locked at night and everything is where it should be. It’s a simple life at the shop. We just keep moving forward with the daily tasks as they come.
