Rangoli Sarees

We are located at 97 Park Street. It sounds like a big deal being on Park Street, but Rangoli Sarees is just a normal shop at the end of the day. The traffic outside is always moving, and you can hear the horns honking from inside. We spend our hours unfolding and folding sarees. It’s a lot more work than people think. We have shelves full of different colors and borders. Some days the shop is empty and we just drink tea and talk. Other days, we have three or four families in here at once and it gets a bit chaotic. We don't have a big marketing plan or a fancy website. We just rely on people seeing our sign and coming in. We try to be helpful without being pushy. If something doesn't look right, we say so. There’s no point in someone buying something they won't feel good in. The building itself is quite old, and the stairs can be a bit creaky. We’ve grown fond of the place over the years. Park Street has changed a lot, but we just keep doing what we do. It’s a long day, usually starting mid-morning and going until late evening. By the time we lock up, we are pretty tired, but it’s a good kind of tired. We just take things one day at a time here. It is what it is and we enjoy the daily hustle.
