Rakhi Guha

Rakhi Guha operates from 3/99 Chittaranjan Colony in the Kajipara area of Jadavpur. This is in the southern part of Kolkata. It’s a very lively neighborhood, but our specific lane is usually a bit quieter. We aren't a big corporation with many branches. It is just this one spot where everything happens. We have turned a part of our home into a workspace. It’s full of books, papers, and the various things we need for our daily tasks. It’s not a polished environment, but it is comfortable and we know where everything is kept. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room. If someone comes by, they usually just knock on the door and we have a chat. Most of our work comes from the people living in the colony or nearby areas like Jadavpur University. We don't spend any money on ads or flyers. Word of mouth is how we have always operated. Sometimes the street gets a bit flooded when the monsoon rains are heavy, but we usually stay open. We don't follow a very rigid timetable. We start when the morning chores are done and work until the evening. It’s a very personal way of doing things. We know our neighbors and they know us. It’s a simple, honest setup in the 700032 area. We just keep doing our work every day without any fuss or complicated rules.
