The shop is often a bit messy because we are always unpacking new things or sorting through orders. We have a small counter where we handle all the sales and a few mirrors on the walls for people to see what they are buying. It is a very hands-on business. We don't have a lot of rules or a corporate handbook. We just talk to the people who come in and try to help them find what they need. Some days are very busy with people from the neighborhood, and other times we just sit and watch the traffic go by on Elliot Road. We keep a handwritten ledger for all our accounts, and it works just fine for us. There is always something that needs to be dusted or moved around, so we stay pretty active.
