Down here in Barisha, specifically at Silpara More, things move at their own pace. Our shop, Raina, is tucked away at 7A Chandi Charan Ghosh Road. It isn’t some huge establishment. It’s just a local place where we spend most of our hours. If you live around Silpara, you’ve probably walked past us a hundred times without thinking much about it. The road gets quite muddy when it rains, which happens a lot lately. We spend a fair amount of time just sweeping out the dust that blows in from the street. It’s a simple setup. We have our regulars who come in and we know their names, which makes the day go by faster. We don’t really have a big marketing plan or anything like that. We just open the shutters in the morning and close them when it gets dark. It’s mostly just us doing our thing and trying to stay out of the heat. The location is handy because everyone knows the More. You can hear the autos honking all day long from the front door. We keep our space organized, or at least we try to. It’s just a normal Kolkata business. Nothing fancy, no big promises, just a place on the corner where we work. That’s about all there is to say about us. We are just here doing the work we know how to do.
