Our shop is number 214 on Chittaranjan Avenue. If you know where the Jora petrol pump is near Girish Park, we are right around there. It’s a noisy part of town, but that’s Kolkata for you. Radhika Creation is tucked away in a spot that’s easy to miss if you are driving too fast through the traffic. Inside, it’s a bit more peaceful. We have stacks of clothes piled up on the counters. We aren't very good at decorating, so it just looks like a place where real work happens. There’s usually a pile of invoices sitting near the phone. We do our own bookkeeping and most of the heavy lifting ourselves. It’s a lot of back-and-forth with suppliers. Sometimes the deliveries are late and we have to scramble to keep things moving for our customers. We don't use any fancy jargon. We just tell people what we have and what it costs. Most of our customers have been coming to us for years. They know we aren't a big chain store. We just have this one shop and we try to keep it going as best as we can. The tea stall nearby is where we spend our breaks. It’s a basic setup, but it’s been our home for a long time. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. We don't ask for much, just a bit of steady business.
