Down here at 23/24 Rameshwar Malia Lane, things are always moving. Howrah is a crowded place, and our lane is no different. R. P. Hosiery is tucked away in this spot, and it's where we spend most of our daylight hours. It's an old building, but it works for what we do. We handle a lot of hosiery items, mostly stuff that people need for their everyday lives. You can hear the sounds of the street outside—carts going by and people shouting to each other. It’s never really quiet here, which is fine by us. We’ve got stacks of materials piled up in the corners. Sometimes the rain makes it a bit tricky to load the goods because the lane gets narrow and muddy, but we manage. We aren’t a big corporate office with glass walls. It’s just brick and mortar and a lot of hard work. The guys who work here have been doing this for a long time. We know the machines and we know how to fix them when they act up. Rameshwar Malia Lane is a familiar place for everyone in this trade. We don't spend money on fancy decorations. Most of the space is just for the stock. If you walk past, you might see us drinking tea by the door. It’s just how we run things. Nothing too complicated, just R. P. Hosiery doing our thing every day. We don't have a big story, just work and some regular customers who have been coming for years.
