Our setup is located in the Merlin Laurel Garden area on Nrisingha Datta Road. Specifically, we're in the Pearl Block on the 4th floor, flat 4g. It’s a bit different than a big factory because we are tucked away in a residential complex. There are usually clothes draped over chairs and samples everywhere you look. It's a bit cramped when we have a lot of fabric coming in, but we make it work. The elevator works most of the time, so that's a plus for the delivery guys. Being on the fourth floor gives us a decent view of the street, not that we have much time to look out the window. We spend most of our time at the tables sorting through designs and checking the stitching on the new batches. It gets a little noisy when the machines are all running at once. Sometimes the neighbors pop by to say hello. We keep things pretty informal. There isn't a reception desk or anything like that. Just a few desks, some sewing machines, and a lot of thread. Sometimes the coffee machine breaks, and we just go down the street for a drink. It’s just us here, working on the clothes and making sure things look right before they go out. We've been at this spot for a bit now and it feels like home. The stairs are always there if the lift is slow. The kitchen area is mostly used for storing extra buttons and zippers these days.
