Our office is in Gillander House, which is a pretty well-known spot at 8, N.S. Road. Plaza Exports Pvt. Ltd. takes up a section in E3/5. It is an old building with high ceilings and those big windows that let in a bit of the city noise. Working on N.S. Road is different from being in the industrial zones. It feels more like the heart of the business district. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking through piles of invoices. There are always people coming and going through the hallways of Gillander House. It has that old-fashioned feel to it that you don't find much anymore. Sometimes the elevators are slow, so we just take the stairs to save time. We have shelves full of leather samples from different batches we’ve handled over the years. It is a bit dusty in the corners, but we know where everything is kept. We don't have a receptionist in a suit or anything like that. Usually, you just walk in and one of us will look up from our desk to help you. We handle the export side of things, which means a lot of coordination with different people. It can be stressful when a deadline is close, but we’ve gotten used to the pace. We just focus on getting the paperwork right and making sure the orders are moving out.
