We operate Pjl Clothing (India) Ltd from the Jyotirup Apartment at 337/1A on D.H. Road. This is right in the Behala area of Kolkata. If you know D.H. Road, you know it can be a real nightmare with the traffic and the trams, but it’s where we’ve set up shop. The apartment building is a regular Kolkata structure, nothing too modern or flashy to look at. Our space inside is filled with files, computers, and the occasional stack of clothing samples that we're looking over. We’ve been here for a good while now, and we’re part of the local scenery in the 700034 area. The people working here mostly live in the southern part of the city, so they know the area well and don't mind the commute too much. We don't have any big corporate manifestos about what we do. It’s mostly about making sure the supply chain works and the numbers add up at the end of the month. Sometimes we have to stay late when a shipment is delayed or something goes wrong, but that’s just part of the industry. We don't use polished language because we aren't a big advertising agency or a tech startup. We're just a clothing company office in Behala. We do our work, drink our chai during breaks, and head home to our families when the day is over. It’s a basic, honest way to make a living, and we’re okay with that.
