Piyal International

Piyal International is right at 28/1 Gariahat Road South. If you have ever walked through Gariahat, you know exactly what the atmosphere is like. It is loud, busy, and there is always something happening on the street. Our place is right in the middle of all that action. We have been here for years, watching the shops around us change while we just keep doing our thing. The building is an older one, so it has that specific smell of old concrete and dust that you find in this part of Kolkata. We don't have any flashy signs or big lights. Most people find us because they were already walking by or someone told them where we are. The afternoon heat can be pretty bad, especially when the humidity kicks in, but we have a couple of sturdy fans that keep the air moving. Our daily schedule is pretty much set in stone. We get in, check what needs to be sent out, and try to keep the desk from getting buried under paperwork. It is a bit disorganized sometimes, but we know where everything is. The pavement outside is always crowded with hawkers, so getting into the shop can be a bit of a squeeze during the evening rush. It is just a normal office and workspace where we handle our business stuff. We don't make a big deal out of it, we just do the work and try to stay out of the rain during monsoon.
