Parwati Selections

If you are walking down Maniktalla Main Road, you might see our shop. We are at 121/4W. It’s a busy street with plenty of noise and people moving about at all hours. We focus on selections, mostly different kinds of clothing and fabrics. The shop gets a bit crowded whenever we get a new shipment in from the suppliers. We have to find room for everything on the shelves, which involves a lot of folding and stacking. People come in looking for specific items, and we do what we can to help them find something they like. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a long time. You really get to know the regulars who live nearby. It’s nice when someone comes back after a few months just to see what is new. The lighting in here could probably be better, but it feels like home to us. We stay open pretty late most nights of the week. Saturdays are usually the busiest time for us. We don't have a big corporate office or any fancy systems. It’s just us here on the main road. We keep things pretty straightforward and simple. There is always a lot of dust coming in from the road, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the glass. It's just part of the daily routine. We are just a local shop trying to stay busy and keep the stock moving. Most days we are just busy checking the inventory and talking to folks.
