Krishangi Sarees

Krishangi Sarees is tucked away on the 5th floor of Siddha Point, right there on Park Street. We have been here for some time now. It’s at 101 Park Street, so it is a pretty central spot, even if you have to take the lift up to find us. Working with sarees is something that runs in the family. We spend our days looking at different weaves and colors. It can get quite cramped in the shop when a new shipment arrives and we have boxes everywhere. Park Street is always busy, so there is always a lot of noise from the traffic downstairs, but it is quieter up here on the fifth floor. We don't have a big flashy sign outside. Most people hear about us from their friends or neighbors. We just show the sarees, talk about the fabric, and try to help people find something they like. It’s not a high-pressure kind of place. Sometimes we just sit and drink tea while waiting for the next person to walk in. The light in the afternoon is quite nice through the windows. We try to keep things organized, but with so many different patterns, it gets a bit messy sometimes. It’s just how we work. Being at Siddha Point has worked out okay for us over the years. We are just local people doing our bit in the city. No grand mission, just sarees.
