Pappu Store

Pappu Store is right on Akra Road in Metiabruz. If you know the area, you know it is always crowded and there is a lot of traffic. We have been sitting in this same spot for years. It is a general store, so we carry a bit of everything, from household goods to snacks. The shelves are usually packed tight because we try to keep a lot of variety for the people who live nearby. It is not the most organized place in the world. Sometimes you have to dig a bit to find exactly what you want, but we usually know where everything is. I took over the shop from my family, and it has not changed much since then. The wooden counter is a bit worn down from people leaning on it while they chat. That is the thing about a shop like this, it is a place where people stop to talk as much as they do to buy things. We do not have air conditioning, just a couple of fans that hum all day long. In the summers, it gets quite stuffy, but the customers do not seem to mind much. We open early and stay open until the last person leaves the street. It is a long day, but it is what we do. We do not have a website or a big ad campaign. People just see the store when they walk down Akra Road and stop in.
