If you know Park Street, you know it never really sleeps and there is always something happening. Our shop, Pallakh Fashion, is tucked into the Ambassador Building at 61/A. It’s an old building with a lot of character, and we have been operating out of here for quite some time. The stairs can be a bit much for some, but once people get inside, they see we have a lot of stuff packed into the space. We spend most of our mornings checking the new arrivals and making sure everything is hung up properly. Park Street has changed a lot over the years with new cafes and big brands opening up everywhere, but we just stay here doing our thing. The light in the building is a bit dim sometimes, but it makes the shop feel cozy in a way. We get all kinds of people coming in, from students looking for something trendy to older folks who have been shopping on Park Street since they were kids. It gets really crowded on the weekends, and sometimes it is hard to even move around the racks. We don’t do much advertising; mostly it’s just people seeing the sign or hearing about us from a friend. We just try to keep things honest and show people what we have without making a big fuss about it. It is just a small piece of the city history for us. We are just here every day, waiting to see who walks through the door next.
