Little India Exports

Little India Exports is located at 6 Old Post Office Street, right on the ground floor of the Temple Chamber. It is an old building with a lot of character, though the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint. We spend most of our time surrounded by boxes, tape, and packing peanuts. Since we are on the ground floor, it is easy for the couriers to swing by, but it also means we get a lot of street noise and dust. We export different items, and there is always a rush to get things labeled correctly for customs. Sometimes the paperwork is a nightmare, especially when regulations change without much warning. We sit at our desks and try to make sense of the shipping manifests. It isn't a high-tech operation; we rely a lot on our scales and our own hands to get things ready. The air inside always feels a bit like old paper and cardboard. We don't have a fancy showroom. If you walked in, you would mostly see us drinking tea and double-checking addresses on crates. Most of us have been here long enough to know exactly how to pack a box so nothing breaks, even if it is going halfway around the world. We aren't doing anything revolutionary. We just take orders, pack the goods, and make sure they leave the building on time. It is a simple routine, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
