Mimis

Mimis is located at 42/175 on New Ballygunge Road in Tiljala. It’s a part of town that’s always moving, with lots of noise and activity outside our doors. We’ve been here for a while, just doing our thing day in and day out. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be careful about how we use the space. We have various items tucked away in corners. Sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what a customer is looking for because things get shifted around. It’s just how it is when you’re working in a local spot like this. We don’t have a flashy storefront or big bright signs. Most of our visitors are people from the nearby streets who know us by name. We talk to everyone who comes in, whether they’re buying something or just asking for directions. The road outside can get pretty messy when it rains, which is always a bit of a bother. We try to keep the inside clean, but dust finds its way in anyway. We don't follow any corporate rules here. We just handle the business the way we see fit. If something is out of stock, we’ll tell you straight. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in Tiljala, just a reliable one where people can come without feeling pressured. It’s a lot of hard work, but we like being part of this community for as long as we have been.
