Shristi Aldecor

Our place, Shristi Aldecor, is located at 12/1B on Govinda Khatick Road. If you know where the Linton Street Post Office is, we are quite close to that, right on Asgar Mistry Lane. It’s a bit of an older part of the city, and the lanes can be narrow and confusing if you aren't from around here. We deal with various decor items and materials, so the shop is usually filled with samples and catalogues. It’s not the most organized-looking place, but there is a system to the mess. We spend our mornings sorting through orders and talking to suppliers. Sometimes the light in the shop isn't great, so we have to take things out to the door to see the real colors. We don't have a big staff, so whoever is available at the moment is the one who helps the customers. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except for when the post office area gets busy. We’ve stayed in this location because it’s where we started and we know the neighbors. There isn't any fancy branding on our walls; we just have what we sell and a few desks for us to sit at. People usually find us by word of mouth or by just stumbling upon the lane while running errands. It’s a practical way to run a business without spending money on things that don't matter much. We just keep it simple here.
