Nusa Garb Inc.

We are out in Abhirampur West B, over in the Budge Budge area. It’s a bit of a distance from the main city center, but it suits us just fine. The atmosphere here is different, a bit more industrial and gritty. We work with clothes and fabrics, so the space is usually filled with the sound of machines and the smell of new material. It’s not a polished showroom. It’s a working building where things actually get made and packed. There are stacks of boxes near the door most days, waiting for the truck to come and pick them up. Sometimes the dust from the fabric gets everywhere, but we’re used to it by now. The commute for some of us can be long, especially when the roads are blocked or it’s raining hard, but we always manage to show up. We don't have fancy furniture or a big break room. We mostly just sit at our stations and get through the production list. Lunch is usually a quick affair, maybe something brought from home or bought from a nearby shop. The people working here are locals for the most part, so there’s a lot of familiar faces around. We don’t spend much time on fancy talk; we just focus on the garments and making sure the counts are right before they go out. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do at Nusa Garb Inc.
