Texo Exports

Texo Exports is located inside Newar Bhawan at 87 Chowringhee Road. It’s an old building with a lot of character and some very slow elevators that we try to avoid. We usually just take the stairs if we aren't carrying anything heavy. Our office has these big windows that look out onto the busy road below. You can see the yellow taxis lined up for miles sometimes when the traffic is bad. Inside, it’s a mix of old wooden desks and newer computers. We deal with exports, so there are always shipping schedules and calendars pinned to the walls. The smell of old paper and dust is everywhere. It’s a busy place, but we don’t rush around like crazy. We have a simple system that works. Someone handles the phone, someone else checks the crates, and we all help with the loading. It’s been our home for quite some time now. Chowringhee Road is iconic, and being at number 87 feels like being in the heart of the city. We get visitors occasionally who get a bit lost looking for the right floor. The hallways are long and a bit dim, which makes the office feel even brighter. We’ve got a small area where we keep samples for people to see. It’s not a polished corporate office. It’s a place where work actually happens. We drink a lot of chai and talk about the day’s goals. It’s a setup that has served us well.
